Visit to London

I decided to take advantage of the low international ticket via travelforlessandsave.com, and visit my sister in London. while in London, I took the liberty to scout around and have some fun. This was not a vacation, however I took a few pictures.

I like to share a few of my experiences  and pictures with you. My first outing was to the center of London, a place you have probably heard of. It’’s called Picadilly Circus. I took the Tube, an impressive network of Underground train routes.  You can start anywhere in London on the Tube and go anywhere. You only have to make connections from one place to another.

My next excursion, I visited Tower of London.  History has it that William, Duke of Normandy built the Tower  fortress after conquring England and becoming the King. This mamoth of a fortress was built by King William  the Conqueror to intimidate  the uncooperative citizens of London.

The Tower of London castle

The Tower of London is the oldest Castle, prison and Palace in the whole of  Europe.  You can learn more about the history of this castle by visiting Britainexpress of the Tower of London.

You have probably heard of the Crown Jewels of England. You can find them in the Tower of London.

Across river Thames is a bridge connecting the Tower to the city, named the Tower Bridge.
